So I'm on Facebook chatting with an old elementary friend I went to school with when my family and I still lived in our native home Augusta, Georgia. Cool right? I know. So, she and I have similar taste in music. I was telling her how I am in love with Amel Larriuex's "For Real" A'CAPELLA version. I had never thought to look for the original because I was so0o0 in love with what I knew FIRST. So, I go and check it out, and I realize (in my opinion) the song has TOO MUCH going on. The different beats and things I couldn't deal with. Maybe if I'd hear it first, I probably would have never found the a'capella version. [Laugh out loud]
So, this friend of mine, Saucony, pointed out to me that Amel's voice was familiar to her. She youtube'd an old-school group called "Groove Theory". Ok, it's cool if the name doesn't ring bells because I have the video for you guys! The song probably will! Watch it, and I will report what we found afterwards!
So what did you guys see? We found that, yes, indeed that IS Amel Larrieux! But wait! Do you recognize the guy in the group? Have you figured out that he was the gay barber in the movie "Barbershop" with rapper Eve? Bryce Wilson! I had no idea he sang! But if you guessed it, you got it!
Well, that's all lovies! I just wanted to share something funny and interesting to me, click HERE to hear the a'capella version of this song I love so much.
Peace and Love
