GOT INSPIRATION?

If not, here's some.

Yesterday, March 18, 2010, was a very eventful day for me. Things started off with me going to get my license (long overdue). Only to be told I had to wait until I turned 19 to get it (next month on the 19th). I left from the DMV with my grandfather, heading down to Virginia Commonwealth University's admissions office to speak with a counselor about possibly transferring and enrolling for the fall semester. To make this long story short, I was told I needed SAT scores (which I never took, the school I was at didn't require them). This wasn't the problem though. The problem is I was afraid of taking them in fear of wasting money only to get bad scores. I should have thought more positively about the situation at the time. I think I was just angered and disappointed by the fact I wasn't going to make it in time to enroll for Fall Semester (August). Which I won't. I've still got faith.

Stupidly, at the time, I was so upset, I posted something online revealing my feelings at the time "I am a failure, what will I do with my life?". Now, usually I'm not so negative. So when people responded, I could tell my feelings of being discouraged rained on them through my words. I didn't mean to scare anyone or spread negativity, but I truly was upset.

There are some people that gave me some input and encouragement. Many of them kept reminding me of all the things I WILL be if I just stay positive and to remember that my own happiness will come from within. You know, sometimes you just need that "extra push". I am really grateful for the people who have reminded me of my own talents and greatness when I was such a knuckle-head. I am grateful.
